Evaluation of all 3 opening sequences

Eden Lake, opposed to Limitless and Flightplan is different in a way that it does not have that suspense factor right at the beginning, it starts with a very warm tone, almost happy and as things escalate and start taking a sudden turn, the action and suspense will start kicking in. In terms of Cinematography, Eden Lake does not have bold shots such as Limitless's shot with the skyscraper. Also, mise en scene wise, the location is extremely dull, in the daytime - as opposed to Flightplan, where it's in a tube station at 3 in the morning.    T he editing is poor in Eden Lake, with no cross cutting, but a bit of match on action which is essential in thriller genre, as in any genre.

In conclusion, all 3 movies are very different and have different sub genres as well, But what I found similar to them was that they all have the potential to keep you hooked and curious throughout the movie, but in different levels of course.
